Movie review: (horror) “Baby Blood” (1989)

December 11, 2010 at 10:33 pm (horror, movies)

This is a goofy movie, but I like it. A very early (1989) precursor to the French Extreme movement, this flick has plenty of blood. Acres of it. Oceans of it. And note: none if it is actual baby blood. The “baby” involved is some kind of hideous primordial parasite.

The girl “carrying” the parasite is so beautiful and feral-looking, she’s worth watching all by herself. Her evolving relationship with her parasite is pretty interesting.

This is something of a feminist movie, and something of a (grimly) humorous movie. If you’re into the history of French horror cinema, don’t miss it. OH and if you like really voluptious nekkid girls, you’ll probably like it too.
