Movie Review: (horror) “The Nameless” (2005)

This is an excellent movie. (Based on a Ramsey Campbell book, so how could it not be?) It’s also extremely, seriously disturbing, especially if you have young children.

The plot is fascinating, and unfolds like a classic mystery. But it’s also got plenty of scares. I actually got creeped out a little, and that almost never happens to me.

Interestingly, it’s thematically similar to “Martyrs.” In fact, I think they’d make a great double feature.

Um…don’t expect to leave this movie with a smile on your face. Just sayin. It’s not “The Mist” level of traumatic, but it’s still pretty gnarly.

-Rated R
-4 out of 5 stars
-Very twisted and psychologically disturbing. Don’t show this one to the kiddies.
