Movie review: (horror) “The Missing” (2003)

December 10, 2010 at 4:55 pm (horror, movies, weird west)

Saw this a long time ago, but it’s still one of my favorite movies. What starts as a simple kidnapping of a young girl by hostile Native Americans takes a seriously dark turn when the kidnapper turns out to be an evil shaman. And this guy is CREEPY. The movie is grim but fascinating.

I’m a huge sucker for weird and supernatural westerns. Here are some more for you to check out (not all have supernatural elements, but they’re all weird and fun.)

Grim Prarie Tales

Silent Tongue
Dead Man
High Plains Drifter
The Circus of Dr. Lao
The Proposition

-Rated R
-5 out of 5 stars
-Some really disturbing subject material. Probably not for kids.
